One of the major and third largest international airports in Bangladesh. It is located in Sylhet, a divisional city in the northeast corner of the country. It is located in Barshal area of Khadimnagar Union of Sylhet Sadar upazila, 5 miles (8 km) northeast of the main city of Sylhet.Osmani International Airport is named after General Osmani, the great hero of the 1971 War of Independence. Earlier it was called Sylhet Airport. The airport is operated by the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority and is also used by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national airline of Bangladesh. Private airlines operate domestic flights from Sylhet to Dhaka.

From Dhaka you have to go to Sylhet first by road; From there you have to go to Osmani International Airport. The distance from Dhaka to Sylhet by road is 241 kilometers and from railway to Sylhet railway station is 319 kilometers. Osmani International Airport is located at a distance of 6 km from Sylhet city center '0' point and 10 km from Sylhet railway station and Kadamtali bus terminal. From Sylhet, you can easily reach Osmani International Airport by rickshaw or CNG auto rickshaw.
